Jeff Everson Bodybuilding Biography

Jeff Everson Bodybuilder Planet Muscle magazine

Jeff Everson is the founder of Planet Muscle Television as well as the Planet Muscle magazine, which started in 2002. Jeff not only has a Phd in physical education but also studied farther and graduated cum-laude while he was the president of his Physical Therapy class at university.

That was where he met Cory Kneuer who was at the university on a scholarship as a track athlete who originally came from Illinois. It was during their years of study together that they decided to join forces and get married which would later become history as Cory Everson went on to win Ms. Olympia six times in a row.

Jeff himself was a born bodybuilder who later went on to win the Mr.USA title amongst others. He started weightlifting in college and achieved the All-American status for both shot put and the hammer throw. Jeff also competed successfully as a weightlifter winning the National Collegiate Olympic Weight Lifting Championships setting a lifting record that lasted 11 years before it was broken.

Jeff won Mr.USA in 1992 and later went on to win the converted Masters Mr.America title but Jeff has always taken a slightly different view on the explosion of the health and fitness industry that started in the 80’s. He has not only strongly defended the permanent ban on all steroids but also feels that one can only be fit when you are free of disease.

He started his magazine called Planet Muscle because he felt that magazines like Flex only talk about professional bodybuilders and Muscle & Fitness now include a whole range of other sports plus too many adverts for supplements. This was one of the reasons that he decided to start Planet Muscle in 2002.

Jeff knows what he is talking about when he criticisers Muscle & Fitness because he was the editor in chief for many years and helped a lot to develop the magazine. Planet Muscle he says offers an honest and practical approach to achieving your health goals, which is something Jeff hopes to continue only, publishing every second month at the moment.

Jeff strongly believes that the only way to achieve what he calls maximal health is by doing both weight training and cardio on a regular basis as well as eating a balanced health diet with at least 5 meals a day. He has written countless articles, which are extremely valuable considering his knowledge and the years of study that he has done.

Jeff also developed Planet Muscle television, which was launched at the same time as the magazine and was syndicated to him by E Entertainment on cable TV. According to Jeff Everson, no one can be maximally healthy and fit unless they are free of disease, enjoy life, have balanced nutrition for optimum bodyweight and muscle, and they engage in systematic exercise combining weight training and aerobic exercise.
